The big news was the emergence of new star Tyler Adams, a senior at Sam Houston State who won the Texas Tech Invitational with a 6016 score, a 553 point PR improvement. The main story this second week of January, 2018 comes from Clemson, SC where Kentucky senior Tim Duckworth (left) edged Estonian Maicel Uibo, 6071 to 6039 in a high scoring affair.
