DECA Newsletter #19 covers the decathlon meets of April 22-26 where Oregon's Ashton Eaton posted an eye-opening 8023 score (his 3rd career 8k) at the Oregon Relays in Eugene and Northern Iowa's Mat Clark nipped Minnesota's RJ McGinnis to win the 100th Drake Relays crown. DECA Newsletter #17 covers the Arcadia (CA) High School decathlon where Curtis Beach, Albuquerque, crushed the prep decathlon record (whatever it was?) with an eye-popping 7909 score which included a sub 4:10 1500 meters.
